Part Devil Wears Prada coming-of-age story, part career advice, and part memoir - a story of the chaos and the sometimes unfair and challenging aspects of business.
MEET THE AUTHOR
CINDIE JAMISON
Cynthia Jamison had an executive career as a crisis CFO before ascending to become a member of, and eventually Chair, of several public company Boards of Directors. She is a frequent keynote speaker on CFO and boardroom topics, and has been quoted as a financial/economic expert in Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, CFO.com, Agenda, Corporate Board Member, and the Economist.
She was also a single mother to four boys - leading her to become somewhat of an expert on work-life balance.
“This book exists for one reason only:
Despite the fact that I am a very private person who keeps an incredibly low profile, I want to tell the truth. I look out from the boardrooms I sit in today and I see the struggle continue. And I see the lack of transparency—the triumph of ego over accuracy when people give advice to the ranks. I crave someone, anyone (even me!) to just tell it like it is or, rather, like it was.”
